Leanne started with FSP for our first ever Total Body Transformation Challenge back in January 2017. She ran frequently and “ate healthy” but was still suffering from constant fatigue, a few extra pounds and slowing run times. In fact, we had to delay our first meeting so she could get blood work and tests to determine the source of her fatigue.
With the big 5-0 approaching, she was ready to try something different before giving up and accepting being tired and a bit squishy in the middle as a part of “getting older”. She came in thinking her constant fatigue and bad runs were just something she would have to live with as an approaching 50 full time working mom with an elementary school age child but we knew better. She trusted the process and 7 years later she’s smaller, leaner and fitter at 56 than she was at 49!

The Ready To Give Up And Accept Extra Weight and Fatigue Working Mom

As a personal trainer in St Petersburg Fl. for over 20 years, I have to say, Leanne is one of the most motivated people ever to come into one of our group fitness programs!
As a full time working mother with an elementary school age child, she could have used a variety of excuses why she couldn’t but she made it work and jumped right into her program trusting the process and has become a source of inspiration to women nearing 50 who think they can’t get rid of a few pounds, have all the energy they want to enjoy life or “run with the fast girls” !I will let you hear the rest from Leanne herself:
Where did you grow up? Peekskill, New York
Hobbies/Interests outside of camp? Music, running, reading.
Favorite FSP Group Fitness Program exercise? pigeon, back rehab
Least favorite Fitness St Pete Group Fitness exercise? Burpees
How has your fitness level/health improved since becoming a Fitness St Pete Group Fitness Member ? I have more energy, better endurance with my running. Running speed is improving. I am also more flexible and feel so much stronger! I have made many positive changes in my diet and have stuck with the food plan.
How long have you been doing an FSP Group Fitness Program and why did you start? I started on January 16th because my energy had decreased in the past year and I have been wanting to clean up my diet. My running speed and endurance had declined. I realized that it was time to actively do something about it.
What kinds of results have you achieved so far? I lost 10 pounds and 11.5 inches during the challenge and my muffin top is gone! My running speed for a 3 mile run has gone from a 10:45 minute per mile pace to a 9:45 minute per mile pace. My posture is also a lot better!
What are the two or three biggest benefits you’ve experienced since becoming a group fitness member? Increased energy, improved running endurance/speed, improved nutrition.
How has your program compared with your expectations? It exceeded them by far. Dianne is very knowledgeable and supportive. She truly cares about her clients!
What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals? If you really want to make a change to feel and look great, you really need to do this! This has changed my life!!!
