 The Over 60 Hard Charger Who Got Her Cake & Weight Loss Too!
Judy  dropped 13.5′ and 10 pounds during our Total Body Transformation Challenge in January, has continued on for a total of 15 pounds and 21.5′ while most people have quit  and is still going strong with our Personal Trainers in St Petersburg !
Judy is a personal trainer’s dream client. She started with us back in 1996 as an in home and outdoor park park personal training client and has become  one of the most awesome  group personal training members we’ve had since the launch of  Fitness St Pete I Tierra Verde Fitness last year !
She is committed and walks the talk as she schedules appointments and commitments around her group training schedule. Â If she can’t make her normal group on St Pete Beach, she hops in the car and comes to our North Shore Location. Â Not many things will keep Judy from her workouts. I will let you hear the rest from Judy herself:
Where did you grow up? Â Mostly St. Petersburg
Hobbies/Interests outside of camp? Travel, Reading, Photography. Future projects: converting old photos and slides to digital, genealogy. Also do some volunteering.
Favorite Fitness St Pete Group Personal Training exercise? TRX, pullovers
Least favorite  Fitness St Pete Group Fitness Training exercise? Partner Press, abductions
How has your fitness level/health improved since becoming a Fitness St Pete Group Fitness Training Member? I have been with Dianne for 20 years so the results have differed based on the point in my life. Flexibility, energy and ability to do whatever I want—walking, travel, etc.
What  are the two or three biggest benefits  you’ve experienced since becoming a group fitness training member?
It’s good to have a group with same goals and issues. I tend to be a loner so I don’t feel as strongly that I have to be accountable to myself, although I’ve gotten better at that too. The group and accountability has helped.
Please describe how your Fitness St Pete Group Fitness program has specifically helped you achieve success with your fitness level, fitness goals or health : I think it’s extremely important as we age to not give in to the temptation to overindulge one’s self. The fact that we can “eat cake” without feeling like a cheat helps—a plan with balance provides the chance to not feel deprived, although I haven’t run into any Girl Scouts with cookies yet this year! At least I know my triggers.
What kinds of results have you achieved so far? Since I was already committed to fitness, it’s finding the food balance and realizing I am not really hungry at times. I remember reading that after eating you should wait 20 minutes to let your stomach tell your brain you’ve eaten enough, but it never seemed to work for me, so I have worked on making my brain take charge.
Tell Us An Interesting Fact About Yourself?  I attend science fiction conventions.
What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals? It’s Worth the effort .
